Default Gloriously BreakDown/Patrick Husbands?

Does anyone know about the fate of Gloriously and Patrick Husbands? Breakdown in the stretch at Santa Anita Race 7, looked quite bad for both I fear.

GLoriously had to be Put down and Patrick is OK.

I have never had one hurt as much as this one did. For those of you who do not know me I run Mark Casse's OPeration hear in Ocala (Moonshadow Farm)

GLoriously was a special filly from the first day we started breaking her a couple of years ago. She had overcome so Much adversity. The set backs she had incurred during her career are things that just don't happen every day. Just to mention one. She had a puncture wound on her hock that went into the Joint and was in the clinic for a week to 10 days. and for a few days there we did not think she was going to make it but she did She was one tough filly.

In fact she was with us here in Ocala at the OBS training center up until we sent her to SA a couple of weeks ago. SHe was training better than at any point in her career leading up to todays race.

And to experience the 2 emotions today Going from "SHes Going to Win"
too Utter shock when She went down...

RIP Girl were going to Miss You.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know. It was one of those instances that make all of us question what we do. My thoughts and prayers go to all of her connections but specifically to her groom/hot walker and you. Obviously you all trained her well and I am sure she knew of the love you shared in this note.

My sympathies go out to you and and the connections, Mr. Downs. My heart sank to the floor when I saw it. My avatar is Go For Wand. She has and will always be on my mind from when I was very new to this game. She reminds me constantly of the sheer brilliance and the contrasting heartbreak this game we all love can bring. RIP GLORIOUSLY

Mitch, I hate to imagine your pain of losing a horse that you put so much heart and soul into raising and caring for, know that we all feel for you. I have a filly running tomorrow and what you experienced is my worst nightmare. I am so sorry for your loss.

This is terrible news, I'm so sorry for your loss. It sounds like she was a special filly with a name to match. I take heart in knowing she was so well loved and will never be forgotten.

Mitch, I'm sorry for your loss, and condolences to everyone associated with her. Thank you for the background story on her. Every single horse is important. And special.
