Default Santa Anita 4TH Stormy Atlantic Fillie At A Price

This Fille is bread for the turf and is improving with leaps and bounds, her first race at Golden Gate was against winners, just a run to get her going and she finished big and galloped out past the winner and all the horses that beat her,her last and second race was her first on turf and first two turns from a very tuff post(9) at a mile at Santa Anita (no winners at a mile on the turf from post 9 out)She came roaring home, just got beat and again three strides past the wire she was ahead of them all!
This time she going from post 9 but at 6 1/2 down the hill at Santa anita the outside can be an advantage(only right hand turn in U.S.)
10 to 1 morning line!REMEMBER THIS CALL: WIN ALLISON WIN wins going away with Corey Nacatani in a hand ride!

Need to know whether that damn fake rail is gunna be out. Makes a big difference down the hill. You got a much better chance if it isn't out.

Played an early Pick 4 and used that horse on your advice

Santa Anita

Race 1) $1 Pick 4 --- 3 4 12 / 1 2 5 6 / 2 3 / 7 8 --- = $48

Good Luck!

Good luck to both of you and should pay well if it comes in....

but breaking the race down.... it is a hard call to make....

1. supermodel... made up damn near a football field in first out and on the downhill... Solis's numbers with Headley last 60 are 40/80 and Headley is 30/55 on 2nd Career Race...

1-A STash is a burner no doubt about it ... there is some other speed in here... but not this kind of speed and gets a good look at the field coming from post 8... Will she stay on... I think she gets the distance if someone doesn't lock her and burn her out...

2. Angel's Law looks ok on paper but not with this field

3. Kathy's Garden Canini 33% on the meet and plus roi off layoff... and 66% itm 1st after claim... showed some quicks going longer... but not near what Stash has in store....

4. Ampys lil girl... wide but some early speed last 2 but cant see even with West's big roi on first turf...

5. Patricia's Gem... expensive girl did well year and a half ago on poly sprints but recent bullet at six is a good sign... turf also a question

6. scratched... no chance anyway...

7. joyance... mad a similar move to supermodel in same race... rosario could make or break this one...

8. win allison win.... agree with your assessment... but this is a tough spot...

1A-7-1-8

good luck

Like Stash, Joyance, and the Mandella (useless race to me.) I'll hope your Allison scores.

That's about what I thought would happen(except for the poor effort from Joyance.) Don't like that 2nd race of career, or 2nd off the layoff stuff. That's just one more example of that. I easily remember to be careful of that by crafting the phrase "#2 is da poo." It's a helpful reminder.

Try a trainer change, too.

Unhappy Trainer of record only

The real trainer is Mick Ruiz and he bred this fillie and broke this fillie,he is one of the best local horsemen in the local area I know(his son was leading rider one year at turf paroidice AZ.)This guy knows horses and got a great deal breading to Stormy Atlantic at a big discount brout back to Cal. to fold and take advantage of Cal bred races
She'll win and soon i just was a little dissapointed right after the race but ther'll be more to come with expereance

Well, this particular race was over when she got floated out by the other horse. It's not like Corey doesn't know that's a very good possibility when you're outside of a horse coming across that dirt apron. The winner cost 1.7 mil, and the 2nd place horse cost 400k. So, I really don't understand trying to run her against open maidens like that. You only have so many races in a career. Why waste one against competition that's too tough? They can't find a restricted Cal Bred filly race on the turf ? Each time you run one of these horses where they don't belong, you're chances of them getting hurt increase. She ran o.k. against CAL BRED fillies. She didn't win. So, why did they try open company today? I'm sorry, I just think low percentage connections often make stupid choices. Ran her against winners in her 1st try. Ran her against million dollar horses in her 3rd try. Tell them to wake the fk up.

scuds that is truly a great point "low percentage connections often make stupid choices" when I have a toss up between a few horses after 'capping.. Owner/trainer/jockey combinations and %'s usually make the decision pretty clear.... good trainers place their charges well...
