Default The Stones to play at Churchill!

From TT.....

Rolling Stones to play Churchill Downs on September 29

In its largest concert production to date, Churchill Downs plans to offer about 50,000 tickets for a September 29 tour stop by the Rolling Stones.
Seating for the general public will be available in the track's grandstand and clubhouse areas as well as limited seating around the stage, which will be positioned in the infield, facing the grandstand. Tickets will range in price from $60 to $300 and will be available for sale beginning at 10 a.m. EDT on August 14 at all TicketMaster locations

Churchill Downs is the only racetrack venue scheduled to play host to the Stones on their "A Bigger Bang" tour, which will begin on September 20 at Boston's Gillette Stadium.

"This will be the first time the home of the Kentucky Derby (G1) has served as the backdrop for a musical production of this magnitude and for a band as revered and widely celebrated as The Rolling Stones," said Churchill Downs President Steve Sexton. "We are excited to welcome one of the world's most legendary rock bands to the world's most legendary racetrack for what promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime concert experience on September 29."--FA

the event is expected to sell out in a matter of minutes
$60 for the cheapest seat in the house though wow
I guess it's worth it, who knows how long the geezers have left
it's a little disturbing to think what all those hippies are capable of
better hire tight security, like say, The Hell's Angels?

I can still hear Mick.....

"Brothahs and sistahs....."

Did you know George Lucas did some of the camera work on that one?

If you go, have fun. I've seen them enough times now to last two lifetimes.

Must be the cool new thing to do...they're having a big festival at Pimlico in September too....

I'd love to go RHCP and what's left of The Who....but I'll be away unfortunately

Watching girls go passing by
It aint the latest thing
Im just standing in a doorway
Im just trying to make some sense
Out of these girls go passing by
The tales they tell of men
Im not waiting on a lady
Im just waiting on a friend

friend of mine paid $180 for some tickets where I doubt he can tell Mick from
Ron Wood...I'd love to go, but damn, you could get great BC seats for that much with some leftover to bet with

Well, I shelled out big bucks to see the Stones "one last time" at Hampton Roads Coliseum while I was in grad school...that was almost 30 f-ing years ago and they're still going strong so...
