Did Hollywood P6 Cost The Track 150k?
When was the last time Hollywood LOST about $150K on a P6 guaranteed pool.
Maybe I am missing something here but when looking at payoffs at Hollywood today the P6 pool is listed as exactly 500K which must have been a Saturday guarantee. If the payoff was about $280K for a single ticket, and 25% or $70K is given in 5 of 6 payoffs totaling $280 + $70K or 350K. Did they lose 150K on the P6 today at Hollywood as the 500K guaranteed to the pool seems to have come up quite a bit short. Perhaps a little pre-Derby disinterest or maybe another sign of the economic reality of where the game and country is going. |

I'm not certain, but I think it is 25% takeout...so 500K * .75 = 375K
375K * .75 (1 ticket) = 281,250 and then 93,750 left for the 5 of 6's. I thought I heard Kurt Hoover say there was 483K , so instead of Hollywood making the entire 125K of the take on 500K, they made 108K on the Pk6 for raising the pot to the 500K guarantee. ...looked it up exotic in Cali tracks is 20.68, so the PK6 winner does look short for a 500K guarantee and 1 winner. Would have thought it would have payed slightly less than 300K. |
