Wesley was visually impressive.

They should throw all figures out the window in the La Prevoyante, a totally paceless race. I've seen trotters go faster early 26/52/1:17.4

I call for the immediate creation of the Hull vs. Cash Refund Challenge to be run on Preakness Day.

It'd be a hell of a lot more exciting than the Preakness usually is.

Maybe not what you're looking for but Cash Refund is supposed to face Capt. Candyman Can in the Matt Winn at CD on Preakness day. I'd like to see all three in the Woody Stephens on Belmont day too.

They were easily the two most impressive maiden winners I saw when following FG this winter, and they're both wicked exciting to me for whatever reason.

If I can't have a match race, this will have to do.

Fair Grounds had some very good 3yos racing in the maiden and allowance ranks this year. Speaking of which, does anyone know when Nuclear Wayne is going to resurface?

Wow - another Zayat/Bill Mott 2yo who lost on debut at Saratoga last year that is now firing a triple digit Beyer for a new trainer.

Was her win that impressive?

I fully expected a massaged number and it was straight up.

Not really. She won by a pole, and it was fast against the clock, but she'll get mowed down by real competition.

She had the outright fastest furlong by any filly at Barretts March last year .. and the Macho Uno's rarely work fast. Was shocked she only sold for 120K.

I do think the number was legit, though. I had it as a 102 Beyer equivalent on my figs but I can buy 105. It was about the easiest figure making day possible- every race fell within 1-2 lengths of expectation.

Some of Hennig's horses can look impressive once they get into shape. The problem is, that is only once every 3-4 years.
