Thought this was deserving of it's own thread since it was completely off topic......

??? No, Dell, Letterman did not say " RAPE ! "

Edit: Oh, yeah, and I am a Republican. And hopefully, we will get the crazy, right-wing extremist whack jobs back in their genie bottle before the next election, so we have a chance in hell. LOL.

He didnt say rape and it was obvious he was talking about the older one with the illegitimate child.

This is silly. Another horrible attempt by the palins to use their children as political pawns.

Unreal, they make jokes about Bristol and they publicly act like they are for the 14yo? Are these people for real?

Hey, they didn't let Palin speak in public when she changed her mind and showed up at the RNC shindig in Washington, so this Letterman thing was a PR godsend to her.

In fact, Palin's going on The Today Show with Matt Lauer Friday morning to keep fannin' the flames of publicity - whoops, I mean rightous indignation - yoo betcha!

The sad part is that this is the problem the republicans have and they can't seem to let go. Its gotten to a point to where they are in line with professional wrestling.

They are losing a generation of guys like sniper with this garbage.

Basic conservative ideals minus all of the other garbage could still sell.

Seriously, I could have been a sick professional wrestler. The Boston Crab hasn't been completely utilized since Rick Martel, that could so be my finisher.

Dell, how about this concept that me and my incredibly conservative friend agreed on? Instead of bailing out all these people who bought these mortgages beyond their means, let's put that money to already established homeowners that bought within their means. Give us money towards buying a better home or even more to buy a second home. Wouldn't that work a lot better than bailing out all these idiots that bought houses they couldn't afford?

Believe it or not, the GOP recruitment in colleges is very, very strong. Good numbers. These are young people that chose the GOP based upon platform preference.

There's a whole generation of internet-savvy, fresh-ideaed potential the GOP could open up there. If they had a clue. Hiring Sarah Palin as the flirty MILF promoting Obama As Secret Muslim Terrorist to offset The Likeable But Old Guy didn't work.

You do realize that the only people eligible for bailout support are those that are NOT deeply in trouble with their mortgages?

Of course, and the ones that need training to be part of the new age workforce are the people that the Workforce Investment Act ARRA funds should be going to but neither is working as intended.

My big problem is the mortgage bailouts. As much at fault as the banks are, everyone is responsible for their actions. Losing your job and collecting UI is bad luck. Failing to pay your mortgage and foreclosing cause you never had the means for your house is just pathetic. But the government is more interested in helping these people out than in helping me (an established responsible homebuyer that would buy another house if incentives were offered). And this goes for my ultra-conservative friend too. It just seems backward.

I was just saying, that the above people you describe are NOT eligible for help with their mortgages via bailout. If you are behind, forclosed, you will NOT get bailout assistance. You can check eligibility out on the government website.

Unless something has changed very recently since the program was implemented, or you are talking about something else I'm not understanding.
