Default NTRA National Pick 4

Okay, weve got the Vanderbilt, Million, Beverly D, and Sword Dancer. First, will they take this bet at my local Meadows OTB? Second, who the **** to bet?? Right now, I think Relaxed Gesture is the single and I pray to God he doesnt hang. Heres the ticket as of now...

Vandy - Judiths Wild Rush, War Front
Bev D - Gorella, Film Maker, Rising Cross, Honey Ryder
Sword - Relaxed Gesture
Million - Tin Man, Ace, Touch of Land, Better Talk Now, Cacique, Eng Channel, Soldier Hollow, Phoenix Reach

2 x 4 x 1 x 8 = $64

Gotta hope that Afrashad doesnt freak and doesnt like the pressure up front and Relaxed Gesture doesnt hang. Deep in the Million because a price is there (just gotta find it).

Thoughts???

Thanks

I have been targeting this bet for weeks, and I have to be honest, I'm stumped as I go over the PPs. There are just too many horse I want to include in each leg!!!

Vanderbilt: I'd be OK just using Afshrad & War Front, but would be more comfortable including Mass Media too.

Beverly D.: I'd use Gorella, Sharp Lisa, Rising Cross, Wend, Honey Ryder, Live Life, Rich in Spirit, and Film Maker

Million: I'd toss Tin Man and Better Talk Now, but would include Ace, Touch of Land, Soldier Hollow, Phoenix Reach, Cacique and English Channel

Sword Dancer: I think Relaxed Gesture is VERY vulnerable here.. especially if it's a dry and firm turf.. I'd want to use Go Deputy, Ramazutti & Grand Couturier ( and couldn't leave Relaxed Gesture off the ticket)

My Dilemma is that I'm not willing to invest the amount need to cover this..So, unless I have a change of heart on some horse, I'll probably just watch Saturday!

I agree with the money thing. It just looks too big. For the Million and Beverly D I think you have to go AT LEAST 4 wide in the Beverly and I can make a case for 7 or 8 in the Million which leaves me very short for Saratoga. Probably best not to bet them and try the exactas and tris.

I really do think Better Talk Now has a great shot in the Million, though, and he's one (of about 6 or 7 ) that I wouldnt toss

Sword Dancer: Silver Whistle, Relaxed Gesture, Silverfoot, Go Deputy, Grand Couturier
Million: Ace, Better Talk Now, Phoenix Reach, English Channel

When I hit something, I dont want a measly $1 on it, I want at least $2. So here it is:

$2 Pick 4:
Vanderbilt- War Front, Afrashad, Bishop Court Hill
Beverly D- Rich in Spirit, Film Maker, Live Life
Sword Dancer- Relaxed Gesture
Million- Better Talk Now, Ace

$10 Pick 4:

War Front
Rich in Spirit
Relaxed Gesture
Better Talk Now, Ace

Total spent- $56

a $128 play on 19 tickets. I may shave it a little or pass: I'm worried about short pays. Keys include Mass Media, Film Maker (a connection there?) & wild desert. If 2 of those 3 come in I'm 7-deep in the Million.

Good luck everyone. I ended up not playing. Just didnt feel comfortable going only 2 deep in the Vanderbilt. Was confident in singling Relaxed Gesture but the Mil and Beverly D have me stumped. Strictly played exactas today. Hope Showing Up/Proudinsky is a lock! Think it is atleast. Good luck to everyone who plays this thing. I see a big payoff forthcoming
