Dude was in his seventies, to him, it is a big event to save a golf ball. It probably wasn't even his, we all know those old dudes love searching the water entries for golf balls.....

Needless to say, we've got gators at many golf courses here in NE Florida. Not that I would have any desire to mess with any of them, but I kind of assume they are relatively harmless, or else they would have been re-located. I know one board member who had a relatively close encounter with one a few months ago. From 200 yards away, it looked like a log, but I warned said person that it might be a gator, he didn't listen.
