![]() Saint Ballado sucked .. outstanding as a sire.
I believe Lukas had Dynaformer getting beat 20 lengths every time he ran him on the dirt prior to his merciful retirement. West Acre never even raced - he's been a very productive Florida sire. Complaince never won a race ... he sired Fourstar's Allstar, Fourstardave, Pride of Summer, and Zippy Chippy. |

Yukon is one that never raced. He was a Northern Dancer half brother to Mr. Prospector that sold for 1.4 mil as a yearling. Ended up standing in California in the 80s and sired some pretty nice horses. His best was Candy's Gold. |

He just got hurt before he ever faced stakes horses. No different than the all-time great stallion Danzig. Danzig only ran 3 times and never won anything more than an alw race. |

![]() St. Ballado wasn't a BC Classic type horse but I saw him run a few times and he was Grade 2-3 quality. THere's a number of sires who's a$$ he would've kicked on the racetrack.

![]() Danehill was a great sire that was just so so as a racehorse.
Trained by Jeremy Tree, Danehill faced the starter nine times, winning four races and only twice finishing unplaced. As a three-year-old, following a valiant third place in the 2,000 Guineas behind Nashwan and a fourth place in the Irish equivalent, Danehill was switched to shorter distances and developed into a champion sprinter, winning the Cork and Orrery Stakes at Royal Ascot and the Haydock Sprint Cup |

![]() Seeking the Gold was nosed by Forty Niner in both the Haskell and the Travers. In fact the photos of the two races are nearly identical.
