you're freaking kidding me! Was he worried that the kids were gonna hoodwink him? Zero is probably a faithful watcher of Jeff Foxworthys' show
"Are You smarter than a 5th grader" So sad! But yeah...Zero(and our country) is definately ready for 7 more quality years!

http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2010/...eding-race-top

the podium was used when he gave a speech to the press. about education. at a school.

shocker.

i love the spin that he was talking to 5th graders with a teleprompter. you guys will seriously buy anything so long as it comes with the anti-obama sticker.

it has been one heck of a week....Just hope OB continues to stick to his guns despite public opinion. It's working despite what the polls say. They all ask the wrong questions like do you approve or disapprove of the President's performance?

i have no idea what this means. do you?

you responded to randall's link the same way most of the comments on that blog did. you bought into the deception intended by juxtaposing a picture of obama walking into a classroom of 5th graders with another photo of him giving a speech that doesn't show the audience.

i posted the video showing who he was talking to in the speech. and a separate photo showing him talking to the kids casually.

you actually thought he pulled out a teleprompter and podium to speak with 5th graders? seriously?

i'm not calling you an idiot but if it walks like a dunce and talks like a dunce...

Having just read "Game Change", I am so, SO happy I didn't vote for my man McCain.

Timm, get a clue - Bush couldn't talk to Laura without a teleprompter. It didn't bother anyone then, when a teleprompter was used for everything - or Clinton, or Bush I, etc.

There are plenty of long interviews of Obama sitting with the press, speaking completely without a teleprompter or notes, and speaking very, very well.

"They" have grass-roots, anti-government, populist Libertarians believing that the Supreme Court decision removing financial restrictions on the biggest corporations with the most money wading unchecked our elections is a good thing, so nothing surprises me any more.

I know facts and understanding occasionally elude you but the Supreme Court doesnt rule based on political implications but based upon interpretation of the law. They dont write the laws, Congress can make laws that address the issue as long as they stay within the boundaries of the decision.
As not so eloquently explained here...

Sigh .... if you read what I wrote, I wasn't talking at all about why the Supreme Court made this decision, was I?

It is important. Notice that this decision was 5:4, but one of the previous decisions it overturned was 6:1.

And one judge here overturned his OWN previous opinion.

You don't find that a little "judicial activisim"?

I'm wondering if there is carbon monoxide poisoning from an old furnace system seeping into their offices, making them a little woozy or something.

C'mon, this came out of nowhere, nobody on the right or left thought SCOTUS would come up with this result, and the court case didn't even ASK for this far-reaching a decision.

It far outstepped what was being examined, and overturns 100 years of multiple other Supreme Court rulings.

It's weird. C'mon, admit it.

well now the secret is out. Libertarians support Wall Street and our biggest corporations. XOM for instance has been very good for me and I trust they would be a great financial backer to present a viewpoint different than what the main-stream media puts out say regarding man's impact regarding Global Warming. I welcome that. Instead of backing a Pres. who is bashing and regulating the hell out of Wall Street I'd support a President who bashes and regulates the hell out of Fannie and Freddie, not back them unconditionally like this idiot announced Christmas eve. I'd want the bonuses given during the years they were backing no money down, poor FICA score loans in the 'hope' that the real estate market would continue to rise and the guy who has had problems paying his bills would some how come around. That would include Rahm Emanuel.

I dont think either of are qualified to judge other than regurgitate other peoples opinions. I posted a link to a number of legal experts that thought it was a bold yet correct decision. There was a ruling in the 60's that overturned hundereds of years rulings that seemed to have turned out ok.

No I don't......he can BS with the best of them. I think he's out of his league, and nothing he's done in a year has given me pause to change my mind.
I didn't have a chance to watch the video, but why would I want to anyway?

because the first 2 seconds shows the camera carrying adults he's speaking to when he's behind the podium. it delivers the context that's missing from the ridiculous propaganda you so willingly swallowed.
