I don't know about that. There have been some decent horses come out of this race recently. Magna Graduate won this a few years ago. Request for Parole and Perfect Drift both had very good careers after running in this race.
Last year's winner also had a pretty decent 3yo campaign after this race.

Comment was about about this years field, just the way I feel. I just don't see this as a derby prep, but who knows I may look like a fool come May.

He'll be even more useful if he finally ever runs an 80 Beyer... but yeah, he's certainly a very deserving favorite.

Oh, well in that case you're right.
There are so many 3yo stakes races around the country in February through April, however, that it is hardly surprising that many of them - particularly the ungraded ones - are unable to attract horses who are contenders for the Kentucky Derby.

I wonder what the record for earnings is with a horse that never run an 80 Beyer?

I don't have time to look up Andromeda's Hero's career earnings right now.

He did run a career best 103 when he finished 3rd to Invasor in the Suburban.

He was kind of a machine when it came to running like 97's and sucking up for a piece

No way they should've taken down Codoy in that race.

What? I watched the race live.
Didn't even think there would be an inquiry or anything, so I turned the Computer and TV off...WOW.
They really bailed the rider of the 6 out of a horrible ride.

It is not surprising, TWP was the site of my worst take down ever.
When they ruled in favor of a 7lbs bug boy's jockey objection...not an inquiry.
They took the 5-1 down that I had a nice win bet on..for coming over into the path of a horse that he was 3 lengths clear.
