I am still on his wagon too whortsman. If he runs poorly in the Belmont then I may hop off the wagon.

I have been trying to find a good reason to use this horse because I really like him, but I just can't find one. I really think that the mile and a half distance is way beyond his reach, so I will not be playing him. He was slowing up considerably at the end of the Wood (sloppy track), and he did nothing in the Derby (although he had a horrible trip). He did have some excuses, but I can't use a horse that ran the way he did in two races in a row.

I think he is just one of those "non-fighting" horses when it comes to a large race. I think in the derby he was intimidated and pushed around. Belmont isn't going to have twenty horses. I think I will give this horse one more shot. With his pedigree I think he can get the distance, but I may be wrong. We shall see.

I did the same thing w/ Cat Thief a few yrs back. Didn't get it done in the Belmont, so i jumped off of him. I guess we all know how he did in the BC Classic. He may not win, but I think he will run well. I remember that he was born in May so he may just be growing up and if he doesn't win I think he will only get better.

I think that if you like Jazil, you should look at Bob and John as well. Bob and John's style of running is probably better suited to the Belmont than Jazil's is as well. I never was a huge fan of B&J, but I would like to see how he does over Belmont's surface before I make a final decision on the Belmont.

Don't feel bad Whorstman. I too threw Cat Theif out. My mom stayed on the bandwagon. Bought us all dinner with her winnings too.

Yeah I was on the bandwagon for long enough to purchase a ticket on him in the First Derby Futures pool. Was good to see him in the field, but I didnt give him much of a shot. When he ran 3rd in the Santa Catalina (?) Baffert said he was too far back. He is going to need to be right up with Bluegrass Cat and Deputy Glitters (probably just back of High Finance) to have a legitimate shot here. I dont like his chances all that much...

I really hope Pinnacle puts a Jazil- Bob & John matchup on the board...BJ will be cooling out when the other gets o the wire.

Will Jazil get a work in before Saturday? I read over the weekend that the track wasn't in good shape and they weren't sure if they would get a chance to work before Sat.
