Default .50 Pick 4 question

How is the cost of a ticket calculated? For a dollar Pick 4, its easy to simply multiply by the number of selections per race. (Right?) But if your bet is 50 cents, how does it work? If I have 4x4x2, do I multiply (.50x4)(.50x4)(.50x2), which comes out to 2x2x1, or $4. But a $1 ticket would be $32, so this makes no sense. Help!

It's not any different than playing it for $1. You don't multiply by $.50 for each leg, just as you wouldn't multiply by $2 for each leg if you were playing it for $2. You multiply the total number of combinations by $.50. In your case, it would be 32 x $.50.

maybe this might help, take the $1 cost and cut it in half. If your ticket is $32 for $1, then it will be $16 for 50 cents.

Red face

Thank you both. I knew that HAD to be the result, but I managed to get myself confused. (Wow, what a shockeroo.)
