Default Take a look at this

There's a special place reserved for the loser that let a horse get this bad and decided to make some money by sending it off to slaughter. It's got a pretty massive tumor. For those that don't want to look, it's basically the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

I got a FB message about 4 horses Angel Acres Horse Haven Rescue is trying to save from slaughter by 7am tomorrow supposedly and they need $1300. They have pictures of the ones they're trying to rescue who are sound, but if they had the money they'd save this one just so it could be euthanized.

ETA: They got the money, and enough for the cancer horse. They're still working up the money for euthanasia cost, but they'll probably have that soon if they don't already. I can't imagine how it would not need to be euthanized, but I'm sure they'll talk through all that with the vet.

Another update, just found out there was some drama with the guy who needed to get paid to turn over the horses, and basically he was getting more and more angry as they scrambled to deal with Paypal and whatever. I'm not sure what he'd accept or from whom, but that was an issue. Someone who had an address wouldn't give it up because they were concerned about the guy's temper and the welfare of their family as well as the safety of anybody going to the location--they've got to continue to live near him and he said there better not be strangers showing up at his place. Sounded dangerous.

Long story short, they had the money but couldn't get the idiot to turn over the horses because they couldn't get to him in time, safely. They're refunding donations to folks from what I understand. Very sad.
