Default I'm so proud of my 10-year-old daughter

My older daughter has a weekly assignment in her 5th Grade Social Studies class to cut out an article from our local rag covering a "current event" and to make a short presentation on the current event to her class. Her classmates usually choose articles about natural disasters, political events, etc. Without any prompting or encouragement from me, she chose the Super Derby as her "current event" this week. I was beaming with pride when she told me, and thinking back to how I developed a passion for this sport, I realized that it has to be in the bloodlines.

Don't feel bad, my son makes communion next year and my wife and I are looking for places to have a party. Many of the restaraunts are already booked. So I suggested having a big BBQ at Monmouth Park.
For some strange reason, she isn't being very receptive about the idea....................

You don't want to have to cancel at the last minute. But I would divorce her anyway. Oh, wait, you are Catholic. GRL.

That's funny. When discussing where to have our two year old's party this past spring my wife suggested Monmouth Park. Unfortunately all the picninc areas were booked. Next year! You would not believe how much my kid loves the horses and jockeys. Paco Lopez is clearly his favorite. If you see a 2 year old kid by the paddock shouting "Hey Mister Paco!" it's us, say hello.

That's awesome.

I look forward towards meeting you in those parental classes run by the state.
