Default Thistly Downs Ohio Bred Day of Champions Thoughts

Race #4: 75K Best of Ohio Distaff

Throwouts:

TT's Surprise - Barely has a pulse. I have a better chance of nailing Katy Perry in the dimehole while I'm high-fiving the queen of England than this one has of finishing in the money.

Jojo Jettin - About as likely as Osama bin Laden winning a Nobel Peace Prize

Gathering Dreams - About as likely as peace in the middle east

Honey Be Fleet - Not totally without a chance - but offers far less value than that 5/1 morning line would suggest.

* This is a two horse race between Pay the Man and Slides Choice. They both engaged in a destructive speed duel last time - and still they managed to stagger home 1st and 2nd. The 7 and 8 should round out the exotics.

Race #5: John W. Galbreath

Trainer Timmy Hamm has six horses entered in this classic for Ohio Bred 2yo fillies. Four of them with ownership ties to Blazing Meadow Farms make up an entry of 1, 1A, 1X, and 1Y

I like Potential Diva (6/1 on the ML) to spring the upset.

Race #6: The Best of Ohio Sprint

Chalky match-up between Sneak a Cold Treat and the Jeff Redosavich entry of Perfectly Played and Tri Uimet. Pass

Race #7: The Juvenile

Yep, that's the fucl<ing name of the race - "The Juvenile"....

And Holy Sh!t is this a terrible group for 75K!

Wild Bling is going to be a heavy favorite off of a 4.5 furlong win in a MCL race at Presque Isle Downs last out ... and even on the half mile stretch out in distance .. I don't see any better options. Could be a big day for Jason Lumpkins.

Race #8: The Best of Ohio Endurance

Make no mistake - #8 Catlaunch is the best horse in this field - and he's a 33 time winner with earnings over 838K .. but he will be found out at this 10 furlong distance with quality pressure coming from the likes of Thatsaheckofacat and Busha'

I'm banking on a pace collapse.

The entry of Bold Captain and Pyrite Personal (6/1 on the ML) - Nehru (6/1 on the ML) - Allsarott (6/1 on the ML) - and Cold Trial (12/1 on the ML) are where it's at.

Have a happy Ohio Bred Day of Champions Day .... and keep in mind that October is the month when Beulah Park returns ...

Oh take it easy.

Actually, if you look closely ,I think that photo is clipped.

And you just might be surprised at the tail running around NE Ohio....highy admirable stuff.

I don't know why I'm talking to you as if you were a guy.

The Juvy BSF:

TDN Juvenile S: Jump Boots 45 (J. Woodard Y. Rosario)

Anytime Yamil Rosario wins a stake with a 45 beyer, you gotta KNOW Tampa's just around the corner...

Good Times coming up
