Scav's Sports Plays of the Weekend
Each weekend I will be pulling this thread up and posting Saturday and Sunday plays, and the occasional Thursday or Monday play. We will keep track via this thread. Will start with 500 units, 10% per unit wagered. Will be taking lines from Pinnacle Sports

Weekend of September 2nd
California (-2) at Tennessee
Usually not a huge fan of playing road favorites but Cal is getting some good pub from ESPN about National title hopes and Tennessee has been down the last couple of years. Not a game to go NUTS on. California (-2) for 30(+3) units Florida State (+3.5) at Miami-Florida (Monday Night) This game is always a dogfight and with the line at 3.5, I will take the off chance that either team will win the game by a FG, thus giving me a win. I also think FSU is loading up to possibly send Bobby out with a HUGE season Florida State (+3.5) for 50(+5) units Total Units used: 88 units New Bankroll: 412 units Last edited by Scav : 09-01-2006 at 11:33 PM.

Ohio State to cover 17 on N. Illinios Penn St. to cover 17 on Akron UNC to cover 4 on Rutgers Tennessee and the 2 vs. CAL Southern Miss and the 21 vs. UF Miami, FL to cover 4 on FSU BYU and the 7 vs. Arizona USC to cover 8 on Arkansas Ga. Tech and the 6 vs. ND Oklahoma to cover 22 on UAB

But Tennessee... I saw this game and it just looked yummy but I thought if things went poorly to start, they would fold. Things went very, very well. Tennessee still has a lot to prove for me. This would be a bet against team for me based on their fundamental lack of grit. WE wait.

Weekend starting 9/7/06 until 9/11/06
CFB Record: 1-1(+17 units)
NFL Record: 0-0 Yearly Total: 1-1 Bankroll: 517 units We are going to start this weekend off with a play on Thursday night, and NO,it isn't the NFL. While I liked Miami when the line was +4, I am not a fan of it at +1, their is no give in that line and they basically have to win the friggin game. Not a fan of lines taking a road dog when the line is between 1 and 2.5, I like having that 3pt cushion if I am taking the points. Oregon State (+7.5) at Boise State While I do not know much about OSU, I do know that this is the 2nd year for coach Mike Reilly(of Charger fame) and I know they are returning alot of starters. I also know that they have a serious running game and can control a game like this.
