Default Jaycito out of SA Derby

http://www.drf.com/news/santa-anita-...ng-foot-bruise

Looks like Baffert's going to wait until the last minute to make a call on whether he goes in the Santa Anita Derby or waits for something like the Lexington.

This is all pointing toward Midnight Interlude, you fools. First Premeire Pegasus, and now Baffert's Jaycito? Seems Baffert must've been leery of Jaycito making this race all along, hence, the entry of Midnight Interlude. I put him in one of my Road totheroses fantasy stables, just to be contrary ahd have a horse the others wouldn't have, but now I'm wondering if he'll be alone on the front end and forget to stop

Call me a fool for liking the Baffert horse in the Santa Anita Derby

After the way he ran in the Juvy last year you have to figure he is a few steps from falling apart at any moment.

Do you think Comma to the top is going to suddenly not want the lead, after running on or near the pace his entire career? I don't see Midnight Interlude alone at all.

Now it's gone from Jaycito being uncertain for the race to a likely scratch.

He's officially been scratched per Santa Anita Racing Secretary Rick Hammerle.

Yeah the way Baffert was talking, it was like he'd basically decided to go to the Lexington so I figured the scratch was imminent. Haskin's updated his article to "will be scratched" now, too.

Comma to the top can't hang around for long, not a mile and an eighth on dirt. Of course, he will mess with the 'Lude, you're correct there

Half the field, including Midnight Interlude, belongs on the turf course.

Ironically, the race isn't being run on a synthetic surface.

I just watched the race and have to say he had to overcome some adversity! I'm surprised others here haven't mentioned the performance, he did a great job of altering course
