I agree, but I think we're in the minority on this one.

I don't understand how you can say it was pathetic. I honestly don't think this was a easy call either way. The only reason why I thought that they got this one right was that the interference could of cost the 2 a placing. I don't think he was going to win, but he possibly could have ran second.

I do think they have dropped the ball on occasion with dq's/non-dq's (which stewards haven't) on things that looked like no brainers. This had to be an extremely tough one to rule on and while people are entitled to their opinions, I think call it pathetic is going a bit overboard.

I don't understand how you say she couldn't have won but could have been second. The winner, that was taken down, won by a short margin....was she going to get her nose between those two....but couldn't win?

To me, the takedown was pretty much cut and dried. It seemed apparant watching the race live.

The horse should have been DQ'ed and was rightfully so.

I see your point Andy. The first time I watched it, I thought that the 3 was going to blow by all of them (hence the 2 not having a shot to win). After watching it again, I realized that the 2 actually had the jump on the 3, but she was actually steadied first (which I didn't see the first time) and then she was checked by Garcia taking her out totally.
So I stand corrected, not only did it cost her 2nd it cost her a chance to win the race.

Was a terrible dq. If somebody doesn't think that's a bad dq I'd suggest watching more races or the headon because clearly that was a poor dq. Never was there any contact made. Able lezcano spot was never taken, he anticipated it being taken, because he's a chicken **** pinhead.

Watch the head on. The stews should get days for this dq. On a 1-10, 10 being the worst dq known to man this was a 9+

So only contact necessitates a foul?
