Default First Republican debate tonight

The first Republican debate is about to start, in South Carolina. You can see it live on Fox News website.

Ron Paul, Rick Santorum, Herman Cain, Gary Johnson, and T-Paw!

Snore .... maybe Ron Paul will do something interesting ...

Oh. My. God.

Well, I'll never get that hour back out of my life.

I know it's important to "know your enemy" but that had to be unbearable!

Rick Santorum might be a more serious contender for the nomination than I would have thought a month or two ago. He may have to battle Michelle Bachmann for the bat-sh!t crazy wing of the party, but he doesn't come across quite as openly stupid as Bachmann.
Romney and Pawlenty and maybe one or two others (Mitch Daniels? Newt?) will be battling among more mainstream conservatives and Paul will obviously carry the small (but bigger than it was 4 years ago) libertarian sect of the party.
It will be interesting to watch which clown they end up with, but I sure hope its someone in the Santorum/Bachmann mold. They would be much easier for Obama to defeat than someone like Romney....who might be tough in a general election.

Yeah, no silly debates, President Obama is the candidate. The list of Republican candidates is overall the worst collection of clowns I've ever seen...and I've been following campaigns since the mid-50's. There actually are some decent Republicans who would be good candidates but so far they have stayed clear of this mess, then again it's early....but really...Trump, Bachmann, Santorum, Pawlenty, Huckaberry??? And "America's sweetheart Sarah "I'm clueless" Palin.

If I don't like who is running for the Republicans Obama still won't get my vote. I commend Obama om making to the call to get Bin Laden. That is about the only he has done right in the past two years.

Did you see any of the debate? I though him horrible - he kept screeching at a loud volume, not saying anything in particular nor answering the questions. He is very obviously anti-woman, anti-Hispanic, and homophobic.

The national Dems couldn't even get their first "fact-check response" out until over 1/2 hour into the debate - as nobody was relaying any "facts"

The conservative sites post-debate said Herman Cain won. All these guys are clearly losers, and if Pawlenty is serious, he needs to disassociate himself from these looney toones. I know he participated here as he thought it would give him good early lead compared to these, but the overall level of excellence was so poor, I think it harmed him.

Republicans?

The guys who crashed the economy, overspent our credit card, started wars and want to take away our individual freedoms and rights?

No, thanks! Been there, done that, won't ever go back.

I think we owe it to the people who died on 9/11 to give a fk about the immigrants who are in our country. The days of "error on the side of the immigrant" needs to be over. Error on the side of this country. If we'd of done that, they might still be alive. We need to treat immigration like most other countries do.

Far as the dealth penalty goes, I can't agree. Myself, and many other people, had a miserable Summer of '85. That piece of garbage should die. Period. No excuses. I'd like another choice of parties. One that is dedicated to having a 3 class system, but also one that puts America 1st. I don't like being in a Party with apologists for Muslim thugs.

If the Dems are so good then why is unemployment still high? Isn't our national debt at all time high since Obama took over also?

Dems motto "Spend Spend Spend". When the Republicans try to do something about it the Dems cry.

That's a mighty big 1. Osama now comes out the ass of a fish. What greater gift could he have brought? 90% of men in his spot would probably have blown the place up with bombs last September. Would of killed all his kids. This was a masterpiece. He even picked the music for the seals to listen to as they were blowing holes in him:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtXUD...mbedded#at=375

Protected them (like a Trojan) all the way back to the base. Hilarious thing is, the night before, Joey put up a link on FB. He said O was funny as hell. I watched the video. I almost complained about the guy doing those jokes when we have these painful gas prices, and a poor economy. Now I see it as the best Poker playing...ever.....everrrrrrrr!

You are absolutely right that was a big fish that was caught. The politicians in DC can do something about the price of gas but they enjoy the hush money they get from the big gas companies.
