Default Amazombie

Was it the correct call? I don't think that the order of finish was impacted and many times in CA it seems that is a deciding factor. I am biased and also glad my ex's never treated me the way Chantal does.

Seemed to me they both were going for the same spot at the same time. I didn't think it was necessary for the stewards to involve themselves in the outcome.

I'm had a rooting interest in Amazombie ($5 pick 4) but I thought it was the right call only because there was so much contact. The 2 horse actually caused the problem by boring out basically almost closing the whole. It definitely didn't change the result of the race.
On a different note that was quite the ride Maragh gave Dominant Currency in the 8th. He had him 4th and in the 4 path with no-one to his outside. He then lets the rest of the field go to his outside basically shuffling him back to last. The just to piss me off more he makes a big run on the outside to finish 3rd.

I don't know if that is true. The bumping between Amazombie and M 1 Missle, led to contact against Camp Victory, who was definitely knocked off his stride. He was coming late and the interference could have cost him the win. I believe that's the reason he was taken down.

For the record, I needed him to stay up as well.

IMO the 4 was impacted more by the initial bump from the 3 than the secondary bump caused by the 1 and 3 coming together later in the lane. The 1 horse was much the best and shouldn't have been taken down as the order of finish was not impacted. As a side note, it is nice to see that Mr. Smith has regained some of his nerve and doesn't opt for the widest trip possible if there is a better alternative.

It was a good call as there was a foul.

That being said even the trainer of the winner said his horse was not beating the 1 on the square, tough break.
