Haven't read or seen any of the books/movies. But I'll admit that I saw the preview in the theater a couple of weeks ago and it looked awesome. It looked so good that I would even consider seeing it without any prior knowledge from the past movies.

I have seen the Movie's & i give it a.........MEH.....Now the Expendables now there was a movie with a great plot !!!!!

when it comes to cinematic interpretations of children's novels i'd be more interested in the old school hand drawn disney winnie the pooh this weekend.

a.a milne > j. k. rowling.

they dumped a lot of crap in the direct to video market under the winnie franchise but this is supposed to be the equal to the cinematic shorts they did 40+ years ago.

and it has the music of she and him.

I am happy to inform you I have never seen nor have I read any of the Twilight books.

Harry Potter though... please understand that even a film snob can fall under the spell so to speak.

I have kids and so read the first 2 but then the 3rd one... that is a wonderful book / film.

Have been hooked since and now if you don't have anything nice to say leave me alone cause my favorite person dies in this one.

I have also read Legion about 500 times.




Would think not many here would have the guts to read that book...especially in the night,when it's dark...and one is alone in their haunted house...in bed...with ghosts making noises throughout your dangerously haunted house.

i haven't read either series. my daughter read twilight, all three of mine read harry potter, which came out at the right time for them.
i'm not into the fantasy genre at all. my idea of good vampire reading encompasses bram stokers dracula and...that's about it.

one of my frightening moments at my last job was finding out that there are groups of people who are with 'edward' or whatever the other guys name is-an adult was telling me she was one of those people. yikes.
haven't seen any of the movies, have no intentions of doing so. just not my thing.

MMSC, I'm not judging you, can't because I've not read or seen any of the Harry Potter series. I don't have kids, which has everything to do with it. And, I can't get behind stories that take sorcery and such seriously.


Except the Lord of the Rings. Read the books more years ago than I care to admit, and the movies were freaking awesome, especially the battle scenes (and the horsies! ).

So, enjoy your movie. And feel free to expand upon

my kids are lord of the rings fans. i haven't read them. anyway, took them to see the third movie. if i had to do it over, i wouldn't. it was sooo long; and then some douche was sitting behind us saying oh, this is when this will happen...here's the spiders coming up.
by the end of the movie i wanted the whole lot of them to end up in the volcano.
