Default Ruffian Downgrade

Anyone else wondering what it will take for some of these stakes to be downgraded. Its ashame that Ruffian has to have her name associated with this field as a Grade 1. I'm not sure those 7 would constitute a grade 2. Too many stakes races. The Delcap got the two best older route fillies and the Grade 1 Ruffian got this field. They have to start downgrading some of these races.

I'm the first one to rip DWL for poor placing of horses, inability to get them fit, and randomness of his horses going in-and-out of form, but at least the guy will run his horses. There's something to be said for that I guess.

Other than the two monsters, the older girls are a sad bunch.

Agree on Lukas, at least he runs his horses. A lot of these horsemen today don't support the racing and then complain on purse declines or dates reductions.

This older mare group is indeed not a great bunch

Ho ho ho its Magic you know never believe its not so its Magic.

he really is dispictable

from Crist:

" Congrats if you liked Ask the Moon at 18-1 in the Ruffian but I have no idea what I just watched. Ask the Moon, who had never run in a graded stakes race of any kind, and who had lost 13 straight minor races since an allowance victory in the Meadowlands slop almost two years ago, just blew the doors of the G1 Ruffian Handicap. She was making her first start for trainer Martin Wolfson after being claimed two starts back by Gary Contessa from Ned Allard"
