Default A question for the experts

Okay here's the deal and I will preface this by saying if anyone is gonna pull the You Mad Bro thing on me why yes.... yes I am mad, thank you very much.

I'm posting it here cause I know not everyone goes to international and especially on such a big day... the Sprinters Stakes has taken a back seat.

I had Curren Chan, A Shin Virgo, Rocket Man and the HK boys (Lucky Nine and Green Birdie)and my picks were posted well in advance of the race (not that it matters... just sayin).

Okay just so we're clear.

So I'm watching the English replay from the Hong Kong Jockey Club and I notice something.

Can you guys watch the 1 and the 3 and tell me what you think?

Lucky Nine is the 1 and the 3 is the eventual 2nd place finisher who I didn't have, Pas des Trios.

Is it me? Am I crazy? Should this horse have been taken down or not? Like I said without the 3 I'd have been good (!!!) and I mean it's fine but I'm starting to wonder if it's me or what.

They don't exactly have the highest respect for the old men of HK in Japan. (Example... Bullish Luck won the Yasuda Kinen and then wasn't invited back the following year. ).

... and the jocky of the 3 is so busy being turned around looking back at Lucky Nine... Jesus Christ.

Here's the English language replay...

Anyone?

(Oh and just to be clear the announcer gets the A Shin girls mixed up.. that was Virgo who finished in the money).

Thanks!

*****

edit:

I forgot to mention something...

In the Centaur Stakes a couple of weeks ago Green Birdie (HK) finished 4th but was demote to 14th for interfering with the actual 14th place finisher, Bering Boy, in the stretch.

Replay is here, to the left if you scroll down.

G, I'm far from an expert, but I'll answer anyway.

I don't think the 3 did anything wrong. The 1 is the horse who put himself in very tight quarters. The jock on the 3 realized that the 1 was all of a sudden on the inside and steadied his horse so he didn't saw him off. It looked like the 1 never broke stride, he was just empty late.

For the record I can't believe that the 3 got the bob for 2nd either.

Oh thank you MaTHie!

I don't mind if anyone tells me I'm wrong... you know... it's just I'm watching the replay (was very distracted during the actual race and didn't notice) and suddenly it's like wait a minute what the hell?

Aaah well.

Forgot to say are too.

Figured I'd post this, just because.

(I shall go and be miserable with Mr. Fownes).
