A mismanaged horse is more like it, not overrated. They could of just rested him and planned out a 2012 campaign.

they were never planning on running him next year, which is why they ran him where they did.

Hopefully, the bloodwork on Stay Thirsty suggests he can still race.

I say he wins the Donn, then 7th in the Met Mile, followed by a bad 3rd in the Whitney and done.

Repole will be so proud.

While I loathe the term boorish mostly because I don't understand the meaning it certainly is becoming such with this Liver BS.

So a colt worth millions that was near death with Liver disease hasn't had weekly liver enzyme monitoring. How fn stupid to they think people are what are we talking about a nickle claimer at Fairmount.

Not like we didn't see this coming...

If he won by 5 it would be "See he's proven himself and has nothing more to accomplish." Since he lost badly, it's bad to liver enzymes.

I agree with you Linny. I'm not a TP fan and I wonder how long Mo would have lasted in another barn. Perhaps there would have been no difference and the liver problem would have still surfaced, but I just wonder.

Good luck to Mo as he takes on new adventures.

I don't think Mo was overrated. His BC Juvenile last year was the absolute best I've seen. I can't imagine there have been many better 2yo's in recent memory.
This year he was pampered, sick, placed in the wrong races and distances, yet he still managed to flash massive talent in the Kelso score. I don't know if he was ever going to get 10f, but you can't say much about it other than he was never ready to win at that distance. I feel quite certain that he could have been an exceptional one at a mile on dirt.

If he would have been in Phipp's barn he would be running in an over night turf race just missing for 2nd. in Mott's barn he would have been a Champion miler. In Juan Carlos's barn he would have won for 15k and then he would have crushed them for 7500 4 weeks later.

I don't pick on French guys I figure its hard enough being challenged

The Chief would have put him over at 30/1

D Wayne circa 1985 would have won 2 legs of the TC

Baffert would have drawn the rail in the Derby and claimed him to be the greatest horse Gary Stevens ever could had rode

The article doesn't say where he'll stand at stud? Is that known yet, or is Repole getting so aggressive with his horse racing ventures that maybe he's gonna start an in-house breeding operation too?

I honestly thought since Mo didn't do much in the Classic, that he'd run next year. We'd maybe not see him again until the Met Mile, but I legitimately thought we'd see him. Liver issues must be serious enough.
