Default NFL this week The Dogs will bark loudly!!!

I am usually pretty good at guessing what spreads will be on NFL games, usually within one point on an average with all games.
I was stunned at the spreads this week and think that there has been an overreaction to some big wins and losses this past week.
After week one, losing team's coaches usually make some adjustments in game plans and/or personnel and kick some serious ass in practice. Losers feel a sense of urgency not to go in the hole 0-2. Winners can sometimes lose that sense of urgency and let a win go their heads.
I see a LOT of dogs that I expect to bark and in my weekly pool club will be circling a boatload of dogs this week. Watch out, you are gonna have a lotta barking dogs with all that lumber the faves have to lay this week.

Those spreads blew my mind Gales. In all cases I had the right fave when I did my guesses but I wasnt even close on most games.
I mean Baltimore looked good and Oakland looked bad but 12 points?
I guess I can understand Indy being favored by that many but still, Houston played a tough Philly team last week and wasn't totally tragic, 14 points is a lotta lumber to lay.
Cincy was good as well but 10 points? Wow.
Same with Miami and Buffalo. Buffalo played pretty well in Foxboro againstthe Pats and 6 1/2 points seems a little excessive for Miami to be laying.
Same with Chicago and Detroit. Detroit sure looked good defensively holding the Seahawks to no touchdowns and for them to be getting 8 is insane. I mean beating the Packers aint exactly earth shattering stuff.
The philly-giants is on the money. Both teams look pretty equal to me and Philly is at home so 3 seems right.
I dunno how Atlanta goes to getting 6 from the Panthers to laying 6 to the Bucs after just one week. That seems excessive as well.
NO and green bay seems right.
St Louis San Fran does as well.
Seattle and Zona seems right also.
This one was mind boggling though, I know Green is out but Denver by 10 over Kc? You gotta be kidding me.
And how exactly does dallas lay 6 to the Skins? I cant figure that one out at all.
Pitt over Jacksonville in Jacksonville?

oak is the worst team in football...texas is close..with san fran.

your gonna have to lay big pts against these teams for the rest of the year.....week 1 is the best betting games....Vegas has Zero edge on you.

Cool

You can call me a homer... but I'll tell you one thing....
The raiders allways play close games on the east coast...
Last Year.. Opening Nite... plays@ Pats (superbowl champs) close game, gave pats everything they could handle..
two weeks later @ Eagles. (superbowl loser) and loses by a field goal
plays @ washington and wins..

and I know the thing about one coast team traveling to the other coast, but the raiders usually show up ON the east coast.. I know you can call me crazy... but the raiders getting 12? Thats alot of points..and IM sure the PUBLIC loves the ravens.. [ no wonder they got big casinos in LV..]

Got a feeling the "big" lines will come through this week. Last week, I loved the JETS, BENGALS, SAINTS and COWBOYS getting points. Went 3-1, with Bledsoe blowing the game late for the boys. This week, four of those "double digit" lines look tough. The Raiders could be worst than the Packers, if the Ravens win 24-0 they cover and may shut them out. Colts at home will run-up the scoring, see a 35-17 score here. Bengals should have no problem with thier cross-state rivals the Browns, 35-10 easy. Broncos at home after getting beat by 6 field goals? All the "mile high" team here going against a team with thier second string quarterback and Herm at the helm; 28-10. The only "big line" that concerns me is the Chargers/ Titans. Although, if Fisher plays the "q-back merry-go-round" again this week, it could be another blowout for the Bolts!
As for the rest...BILLS +7, PANTHERS -2.5, BUCS +5.5, CARDS +7.5, LIONS +8
JETS +5.5, REDSKINS +6.5. Pass on the other games

Default Just a handful of pix

Second week in a row San Diego is the lead pipe lock of the week. They are a team posessed. Tenn will rotate in Young a few sseries, I think they could care less about win/loss, they want to get VY some playing time. At home against an equally bad team like the Jets and they lost. On the road at SD, it will be blowout city. Definately agree w/ HHH about Bengals, easily cruising to victory. Indy @ home is another one I love, McNabb threw all over Texans, what do you think Peyton will do? Ravens were very impressive @ Bucs, will abuse a very, very BAD Oak team. I like me some NY Giants getting 3 @ Phily, I'm sure they will be hype, but I'm not drinking the Kood-Aid. I think the Giants win that game.

To sum it up, you may see back 2 back shutouts by Ravens and Chargers. Colts and bengals roll. The Giants get-er-done @ Phily. My avoid like the plague games are pretty much the rest of them. Especially the Bears, 9 is WAY too much to be giving to an improved Lions.

Quote my self, all except me avoiding the bears. WOW, they look real good. My bad Bears. Damn near back to back shutouts for those 2 above. Indy rolled and Bengals did the same. Giants had mad come back skillz and won outright, like I said.
