Default Affordable Care Act benefits - Obamacares rocks

The devil is in the details of yes, that long, long ACA bill. Full benefits kick in next year. Good health care, less expensive options when all benefits kick in, whether the Obama-haters and false-blamers believe it or not.

It should be noted that Walker and other Republican governors are turning down the grants given by the Federal Government to tailor their required individual State Insurance Exchanges to the needs and wants of their states.

Thus these states still must and will have provisions of the ACA, but these states will instead get a generic federal program rather than individually state-run control.

Republican governors giving up "state control" for "federal control" is a really strange thing. Conservatives for stronger states rights should note that.

They should also note that the Medicare Trust Fund life is extended by 12 years. And that there will be tax cuts. Definitely two things conservatives have wanted.

The Bush tax cuts for the rich will expire at the end of 2013. That will result in about half our massive deficit being gone in about 15 years, doing nothing else.

Quote:
1. There will be non-profit insurers offering health care plans in the exchanges on top of traditional private insurers (regulated STRONGLY by the health care law). The public option never really disappeared. It was just replaced with non-profit language that will turn into non-profit options just as strong as the proposed public option. Besides, many states are integrating public options into their exchanges.

2. Medicaid will be significantly expanded to 15 million poor uninsured americans in 2014. People in deep poverty will have significantly better lives. Everyone at less than 133% of the poverty level will be covered under medicaid. Native Americans will be insured for the first time in their lives and will enjoy modernized health care. The Indian Health Care Act is reauthorized and strengthened by this medicaid expansion.

3. Medicare's trust fund will be extended 12 years. Seniors have free preventive care and check ups. Lots of money -saved through waste trimming and fraud recollecting.

4. Small business tax credits will have their amounts magnified for small businesses in 2014. When juxtaposed with the strongly regulated exchanges, coverage will be very affordable for small businesses.

5. For everyone up to 400% of the poverty level (millions and millions of Americans are under this category), huge tax credits will be available to help them afford coverage. Those who already have insurance qualify too, not just the uninsured. This is a HUGE middle class tax cut. Financial situations will improve drastically for Americans because of the fact that Kathleen Sebelius has been issuing robust regulations on insurance companies such as a robust 80-85% medical loss ratio.

6. Preventive care will be free in all insurance plans eventually as all plans lose their grandfathered status.

7. Single Payer is coming to America because of Obamacares. Kathleen Sebelius gave a huge grant to Vermont to build single payer in the state. Vermont is using the Affordable Care Act money to build single payer.

8. Community Health centers will be invested on and will significantly impact health care for the better.

9. The highest earners start paying their fair share as promised by Obama in 2013. Payroll taxes on people earning incomes of $250,000 dollars go up. It was a key element in the payment mechanism of the bill.

Already benefits of the incompleted ACA rollout include:

10. Sick adults and children (cancer, diabetes, heart disease, etc.) not being kicked off policies due to lifetime coverage ceilings reached.

When you are uninsured, Emergency Rooms, local churches and hospitals and "your community" does not provide free dialysis, chemotherapy, heart disease medications, long-term trauma care, stroke recovery and rehabilitation, pneumonia care, etc. Your only choice, if you don't have thousands of dollars, is to not get treatment, and be ill, untreated and die if applicable.

11. Federal temporary exchange where those with pre-existing conditions uninsurable and uninsured in the private sector now can purchase insurance. An estimated additional 10 million have participated, and are thus now paying for their own insurance for their serious illnesses (rather than us paying for it in our premiums and emergency room/hospital/testing costs, and them not getting health care at all, thus improving their health and lowering what costs are required to treat them)

12. Young people can stay on their parents policies until age 26, thus staying insured and getting health care coverage.

As Obamacare stands now, companies without waivers from a.ssholeface will be forced to drop their group coverage simply because 75% of their employees won't be able to pay for it. Less than 75% participation = no group.

Just recently a friend of mine had an increase on his group plan of 31.8%.

Riot, you can prop this pile of s.hit Obamacare all you want. You have time to bulls.hit people with biased articles. Just be here when the s.hit hits the fan in 2014.

Oh no I'm sure the premium increases now and next year will result in like a 400% decrease in 2014 because Obama makes the magic happen...

This month some people are starting to get refunds on their insurance premiums, as companies realize they have to come into compliance with the law and realize they have been overcharging last year. That will happen even more this year.

Especially as insurance companies rocket up the premiums at the last minute to try and continue to steal from you while they can. Like your friends' group plan.

Face it: 10 million additional people have already become insured due to this. That's good, as I no longer have to pay for them in my healthcare costs. People have already had their premiums cut (me, for example), have already been re-insured for things the insurance companies have refused (me again, for example), people cut off from their treatments for cancer, etc. have already been reinstated and reinsured again. People have already benefited and the bennies only increase as the exchanges come into play next year and all provisions of the ACA are implemented next year.

You can continue to curse and decry it as a pile of s.hit, but you've never bothered put forth anything to support your view, other than being piss.ed. off, cursing and angry, and hating Obama.

Good luck with Ron Paul.
