The problem is they don't seem to stick around. Only Zaftig realized any of her potential, and went straight to the sidelines after her big Acorn win. Her comeback only lasted one start before retiring with another injury. Yet she is the iron horse of the immediate family with 6 career starts.

Last years edition did only earn an 82 -- but was at least run at a Gr 3 stakes caliber pace.

This race was ugly all-around.
