Default Very early Derby odds

At 12:41 EDT, only $24,000 in the pool so odds are certainly subject to change, but they are usually pretty representative of where the odds wind up:

1 Daddy Long Legs 22
2 Optimizer 31
3 Take Charge Indy 8
4 Union Rags 6
5 Dullahan 10
6 Bodemeister 8
7 Rousing Sermon 29
8 Creative Cause 14
9 Trinniberg 44
10 Daddy Nose Best 15
11 Alpha 28
12 Prospective 63
13 Went The Day Well 13
14 Hansen 8
15 Gemologist 6
16 El Padrino 32
17 Done Talking 33
18 Sabercat 29
19 I'll Have Another 22
20 Liaison 67

Hope DNB stays at that price because at 15-1 I feel he is a must use.

I'm no fan of his, but there's no way the gulf between him and Gemologist should be that wide. Bodemeister at 8-1 would be the steal of the century.

The odds will change, but not a lot.

No doubt. Daddy Long Legs at 22-1 is a huge underlay IMO.

You can keep Optimizer at 30-1. The only thing interesting about Liason is his trainer.

This is mostly on-track money (if not completely), right? Either way, based on just reading chatter on the web and seeing these odds, Take Charge Indy is going pretty low odds-wise in the betting. Borel obviously a part of that.

Not my pick to win but I'm using him underneath on all my tickets... these odds are nuts.

Hope they stay that way!

I don't, I think there's a strong chance that the race collapses. Obviously that would favor Optimizer. I don't think he's good enough to get there, but I think he could get a call in the stretch. As far as Liason goes, he has run better with the shades, but it just feels like he's going to end up being fowardly placed and very wide going in first turn. The post really hurts him.
