Default Texas Inmate gets 41% of vote against Obama in West Virginia Democratic Primary

Never thought an incumbent President could be this unpopular amongst his own party. Obama beats Texas inmate Keith Judd 59% to 41%. Guess these Deomcrats really want change. Judd looks like an honorable guy!

It's West Virginia.

Look at the historical voting results.

So what. An inmate received 41% of the vote against a sitting President in the United States of America in his own party primary. That is astonishing no matter how you try to slice it or dice it.

Just how unpopular is President Barack Obama in some parts of the
country? Enough that a man in prison in Texas got 4 out of every 10 votes in West Virginia's Democratic presidential primary.

The inmate, Keith Judd, is serving time at the Beaumont Federal Correctional Institution in Texas for making threats at the University of New Mexico in 1999. Obama received 59 percent of the vote to Judd's 41 percent.

For some West Virginia Democrats, simply running against Obama is enough to get Judd votes.

"I voted against Obama," said Ronnie Brown, a 43-year-old electrician from Cross Lanes who called himself a conservative Democrat. "I don't like him. He didn't carry the state before, and I'm not going to let him carry it again."

When asked which presidential candidate he voted for, Brown said, "That guy out of Texas."

Judd was able to get on the state ballot by paying a $2,500 fee and filing a form known as a notarized certification of announcement, said Jake Glance, a spokesman for the secretary of state's office.

Read about this earlier....its a shame really that people voted for the other guy without even knowing who the other guy was, or where he is currently residing.

You have to give the guy credit. If he gets elected President he can pardon himself!

It's West Virginia. Obama only got 3-5 votes there in 2008 anyway

I will go out on a limb and venture that Hillary Clinton was a slightly more formidable opponent than Judd.

I think the lesson is that you could run a tin can in a Democratic Primary against Obama right now and with some campaigning the tin can just might pull off an upset.

yeah, this isn't the first time a no-name person has had a good showing vs obama. but i doubt it tells the tale for the general election in november. of course, the tin can named romney is hoping otherwise.
