Preakness Day realizations
Anyone have one today?
Mine was the moment I thought gee... there are a lot of balding jockeys. Come on, you know you want to toss one out there... Anyone? |

After seeing the results, I realized that Little Matt having a baseball game this afternoon probably saved me a couple of yards.

No that will never due.
In order to post you have to have realized something. It can be about anything... doesn't have to be Preakness related as long as it was a realization today. * * * I hope Matt won, MaTHie. |

Oh I have another one and I'd post it in the Pad Lock but for reasons obvious to some... well...
I think Joel Rosario is amazing. I would have fallen apart but he kept it together and with grace gave a very nice ride to a very nice horse on a horrible and tragic day. |

When I got married 16 years ago I told my wife there were four days a year she couldn't make plans fir me, the triple crown days and Breeders Cup day. Today I gave up a day out with the boys drinking and gambling and went to my son's soccer game and enjoyed every minute of it.
I did make quite a few wagers before I left. |

I realized that if you put your finger right on the TV, you can pull horses across the finish line, just like a video game.

I realized when I lose the feed and see blue screen on my ADW that voices from beyond are trying to tell me that I should shut it down for the day and quit betting.

I realized.......
once again, how much this game means to me. that every now and again truly wonderful opportunites are given to bad people. that I wanted Joel Rosario to win the race in honor of his brother. how uplifting and magical it was for me to see I'll Have Another cross the finish line first. |

that, when the angle of the sun is just right, an airiel shot of the horses moving down the backstretch produces perfect shadows of horses and riders.
