![]() I think a good argument could be made that the four best horses we've seen to this point in the year are 3 geldings (Game On Dude, Wise Dan, and Successful Dan) and a filly (Royal Delta)
That's historically very rare. Successful Dan was very impressive to beat Fort Larned and Mucho Macho Man with no setup at all on Ky Oaks Day. I thought he ran tremendous when 2nd to a dream trip Fort Larned in the Cornhusker and FL demolished a good Whitney field in no doubt about it fashion next out. He's out for the year now, but his races were tremendously good. Nothing like a 6-year-old out of training with an 11-7-2-1 lifetime record. Successful Dan is a case of what could have been. It's a shame I'll Have Another and Bodemeister both fell apart physically, because they both seemed on the verge of jumping into the top of this discussion. |

![]() it really is too bad that successful dan has another sesamoid problem and will be out. he'd been impressive. i saw earlier that wise dan won on soft turf in the fourstardave (didn't get to watch live, we're in northern arkansas looking at some tracts of land) which is great. any time you see a horse able to win in different situations or on different surfaces, it's a great thing. and can't argue with your four selections for top horses thus far this year.
and what is the news on bode? no way it was just a fever. hadn't seen anything else on him tho.

![]() I expect Take Control to do just that.
If he stays put together, he could be one very serious racehorse. |

![]() Vegas is offering 50-1 for take control to win this years BC classic. I put down 20 dollars on him.

![]() Nice move.
The other horse that I thought might come back this year and dominate, I just read died a few months ago. Premier Pegasus. |

![]() Myung Kwon Cho is a sneaky trainer. He had a pretty good horse in Street hero a few years back who was a decent 2 yr old.
He entered a FTS Urgent matter who is a son of street hero but was inexpicably scratched from that MSW race at del mar. |

![]() “He was a little off. At first we thought it was a foot. But we can’t find anything specific, but when you can’t find exactly what it is, it’s best to just stop for 60 days,” Baffert said Friday morning. “It’s nothing that needs surgery.”
http://www.drf.com/news/del-mar-note...ew-shrinks-one He's not running in the 2012 Classic. |

![]() [quote=Indian Charlie;882787]You misread my post. Premier Pegasus died a few months back.
I wasnt talking about Premier Pegasus. I was talking about Street Hero and a recent unraced horse named Urgent Matter (on my watch list) |

![]() 50-1 on a hype machine who can't stay healthy?? Come on now.... and that's my trainer, but that horse should have been 250-1 even before this most recent issue. A horse that I think still has a lot of potential is Take Charge Indy, and he has to be over 100-1 because of all his issues.
