The Dentist
This mofo doesn't play around.
I could claim a horse for what he wants to charge me. He makes it sound like a couple of my teeth (which look and feel fine if you ask me) are on the verge of impending disaster. He even told me that my bite is so strong it's doing me damage. It would be nice if these guys worked for charity and good will. Hate to see 4 grand cash go down the drain for what feels like cosmetic purposes. Is there any country that does bang up dental work for cheap? Bonus points awarded if they also specialize in sex tourisim with clean hotties. Plus I got a parking ticket ($10) while I was in there. I should just tell my girlfriend that I'm joining an ice hockey leauge... and if my teeth start falling out I'll just tell her that I lead the leauge in penalty minutes and fighting majors. Fucl<ing bullsh!t. |

A friend of mine once told me that dental schools are always looking for patients to work/train on. Not sure how quality the work is, but he price is definitely better than the one you are getting now.

He retired at the ripe old age of 40 and the new owners are not so charitable unfortunately, otherwise I'd recommend them highly for free work. |

Believe it or not, Tiajuana.
There are a couple of great dentists there. I know of many people, while I was still in CA, that went down there and saved thousands. |

It's probably a two hour ride but you can try: http://www.dental.pitt.edu/patients/become.php I know quite a few people that have some work done there. It has a pretty good reputation and is a good dental school. Not sure about the fees but I have been told they are discounted. |

I have another story for you. A friend of mine was going to a dentist for a few years and practically every time he went in there, the dentist told him he had a cavity and needed a filling. The last time that my friend went in there, it was no different. The dentist told my friend that he had two cavities that needed to be filled. My friend told him that he would come back another day to have it done. My friend never went back. That was 15 years ago and he has never had any problems. I guess those cavities (if they even exist) didn't need to be filled. I have a friend who is a dentist but he lives in another state so I can't go to him. He told me that in many cases, cavities do not need to be filled. If there is decay, you will probably need a filling. But if you have a small cavity with no decay, there is a good chance that you won't need anything done. This dentist told me that he has a couple of small cavities that he has had for 20 years and they are still fine. The dentist I go to now is very honest. He confirmed what the dentist who I am friends with told me. He will sometimes tell me that I have a small cavity that isn't bad and that he will just keep an eye on it. Anyway, you should definitely get a second opinion. I would probably get a couple of second opinions. I think there is a very good chance that you don't need any major work done. Most of these guys are such crooks it is unbelievable. Are you having any pain? If you aren't having any pain, that is a good sign. If you are having pain, you probably need some work done but it could just be minor work. |

If he is to work on me, a dentist that does good work "Most of the Time" is about as useful as a Bomb Deactivation Expert that does good work "Most of the Time"

I'm hoping to get major dental work done in the next few months. (Granted with a whole lot of pain and a lot less smiling until it is complete!) I was not so happy to hear that both my medical and dental would not pay for me to get the work/surgery, but if I had kids, they would pay for most of their dental work/surgery. That just doesn't make sense.

Did you ever go to Jai Alai there? They actually used to have it in Vegas too back in the 1970s and early 1980s at the old MGM Grand (which is now Bally's).
