GP 5th 2/16: #12 Boss Man
Hopefully they'll be on the turf tomorrow, otherwise this is obviously for his next turf start. I've been waiting a while for this one to run back, so there's a layoff to consider, but in his debut:
He broke slowly, was extremely rank in the first 1/4, taking him to last and 3-wide around the clubhouse turn, was still well back and wide on the far turn while the winner was making his move, drifted in early stretch, finally got rolling around the 1/8 pole when Chamois came to his inside and beat that one to the wire to be a distant 2nd behind the sharp winner. Coming out of that race, the winner unfortunately hasn't been seen since, but the horse who ran 3rd improved his Beyer by 8 points in winning his next start, the 4th horse has run a faster number in each of his next three starts and the 5th horse ran +12 on the Beyer scale in winning his next turf start. 6-1 ML seems about right considering there's a Pletcher, a Clement, a Chad Brown and a Romans in the race. Thanks for heads up...
I've been waiting for this one as well and as a hunch - - I have a Jamaican fella who works for me and although I'm uncomfortable when he does and told him there is no need, he insists on calling me.... "Boss Man"... I guess that is better than the Seinfeld (Kramer's Proctologist license plate) episode.... |

I'm worried he will be overbet. Lezcano is a huge plus for me though.

Off the turf again. Maybe one day he'll get to run.

I bet the horse at a little before 1 and they were on the turf. I go back to work inly to find they took the race off the turf and Mott didn't scratch him. He runs last and I lose my win money and my pick 3 having the first 2 winners and starting again with the 2 - 4. There needs to be an all rule for the pick 3.

He's back Saturday. Mcpeeks horse will be tough getting back to turf. Might get 10-1 on boss because of post, competition and dirtied up form off his last.

Entered Saturday 3/9 #12 in 5th and no chance of rain! #6 War Dancer will be a handful, but there isn't much else in the race.

Does the post worry anyone?

Not really. The run to the first turn is pretty significant going 1 1/8.

Off pace runners benefit when the rails are on the outer markers and it's at 84' for this one.
