![]() Here are the past performances for Golden Works (the mother of Goldencents) and Boston Lady (the dam of Normandy Invasion)
http://www.drf.com/sites/default/files/GoldenBoston.pdf Both were born in May of 2000 and had less than impressive racing careers. |

![]() Speaking of coming a long way, Goldencents was just a $5,500 yearling.
I wonder how many Manitoba bred mares who don't get through 5K claiming lifetime conditions at Winnipeg's Assiniboia Downs actually get a chance to be broodmares? |

![]() Well she was just fortunate to be out of a multiple stakes winning mare from Manitoba. Luckily at that time the Into Mischief syndicate were just happy to be getting some mares.

![]() Into Mischief has had a great start with Vyjack and a few other decent ones as well.
Goldencents worked 21.20 at OBS June. He was only the 2nd fastest horse at the sale for his consignor, Southern Chase. The fastest for Southern Chase was Cor Cor, who worked 21 flat. Both of the two fastest for Southern Chase Farm proved to be excellent bargains: ![]() ![]() Goldencents was bought for $62,500 and has already earned $1,250,000 Cor Cor was bought for $40,000 and she's already won 3 stakes races and should go favorite in a $100,000 stakes race on opening day at PID this Sunday. The former is ungelded and the latter is a Smoke Glacken/Capote filly, so both might even have a little residual value as well. |

![]() Nice bargains indeed..I went to the recent April OBS to bid on some La. Breds, but was just blown away by the resurgence of money being spent for fast working 2yo's. I'm going to give it another try at the June sale coming up..

![]() Good Luck.
With the stock market where it's at right now, I'm sure it will be tougher to find bargains. |
