Prime Cut is a bit interesting at 8-1 here. He won his turf debut pretty impressively, then had a trouble plagued trip on the Derby undercard, falling behind a snail's pace. He was justifiably DQ'd on May 4, but he was trying to find a lane to run. The 12 furlongs is the question mark, but there's no world beaters in there. Atigun, listed at 7-2 off that perfect trip, is certainly ripe to be beaten.

Saw this name yesterday and did a doubletake, figured it couldn't be THE Joao Moreira so checked the Singapore Turf Club... whoa very cool!
If anyone here has a chance to chat with him THANK HIM for the ride on Waikato in the QEII last year. Really fine jockey and has won many much more important races but that one was special. |
