Default Churchill Downs late turf cancellation- still not raining

The late P4 started with R7 at 3:34 pm at 3:45pm they taake the 9th race off the turf . LAte scratches of th 4,5,6 at 3:45pm. Radar still has the rain 40 miles away but they managed to get everyones money in the p4 pool. Nice ggoing CD remind me to play your track more often, as you blatantly care less about your ustomers except separating them from their money. I never would have bet into this p4 but the trainers of the 4,5,6 weere notified ahead and scratched out before it was announced on the website at 3:45pm

Had nothing to do with weather. Decision a result of jockeys coming back from 6th concerned that course was dangerously soft in spots. Safety of horses and riders is the priority.

ok, thanks for that, but if that is the case, why not announce it after the 6th and before the race 7 p4 started ? CD website has the changes at 3:45, 7th race went off at 3:34 pm ? Don't under stand it.

If this happened in New York there would be 700 threads spread around the internet by now.

It was rather sly of CD to say the least.
Just shows how much they care about the bettor.

Then guys like Byron King and Marty McGee have their hands tied and can't write or even discuss the situation on twitter.
It's easy to see why the public has no confidence in this sport anymore.

And don't even get me started on the significant past posting issue CD has on a daily basis...

Its really not Churchill. You know the jocks rule the roost when it comes to that. What they say goes, especially when the older guys in the room start to mention it.
