SAT Plays - BC Preps and more
A huge day of racing with all the Breeders' Cup preps. Here's some selections for the five Grade 1's at Belmont Park, National Pick 4, and Hoosier Park.
Belmont Park - Race 6 - Beldame G1 #6 BALLETO - Ready to peak after a couple of second place finishes. BEST BET #2 Fleet Indian - Has won 7 in a row and is 5 for 5 at the distance. #1 Take D' Tour - Nice 2nd in Ruffian and will be forwardly placed. The Play - 20 units to win on Balleto 5 units Exacta Box 6 with 1 2 = 20 units Race 7 - Flower Bowl G1 #5 Honey Ryder - Knows how to find the winner's circle. #7 Film Maker - Classy mare brings late kick every time. The Play - 10 units Cold Exacta - 5 7 = 10 units Race 8 - Vosburgh G1 #5 Silver Train - Loves Belmont and will benefit from the speed. #1 Henny Hughes - Has been brilliant in last 2. #2 War Front - Trying to continue a very nice year. The Play - 5 units Exacta Box - 5 with 1 2 = 20 units Race 9 - Turf Classic G1 #3 Freedonia (GB) - Group 2 winner had trouble in her last as the fav. #1A English Channel - Has never won at Belmont or at 12 furlongs? #6 Royal Highness (Ger) - Group 2 winner in Europe has two victories at 12 furlongs. #5 Interpatation - Coming off a nice win. The Play 5 units Exacta Box 3 with 1 5 6 = 30 units Race 10 - Jockey Club Gold Cup G1 #1 Bernardini - Should be able to fight off a stubborn Wanderdin Boy. Would be interesting to see if he actually gets tested down the lane. Keeneland - Race 9 - Shadwell Turf Mile G1 #3 Aussie Rule - Adds the hood and 1st time Lasix for the well accomplished Euro trainer. #2 Miesque's Approval - 4 for 5 this year and should be there late, again. #1 Silent Name (Jpn) - Has been chasing the talented Aragorn in Cali and might enjoy the Keeneland lawn a bit more. Oak Tree @Santa Anita - Race - Goodwood G1 #4 Lava Man - 6 for 6 this year and has won Grade 1's on dirt and turf. #7 Brother Derek - Eligible to improve off last effort. The Play - 1 unit National Pick 4 - 1 3 5 6 with 1 2 3 with 1 with 4 7 = 24 units Hoosier Park - Race 8 - Schaefer Mile #12 M B Sea - Closer is simply the class of the field. #9 Stockholder - In good form and loves the distance. #1 Beabasque - Live longshot is 2 for 2 at Hoosier Park The Play 5 units Exacta Box - 12 with 1 9 = 20 units 5 units Daily Double 9 12 with 1 9 11 = 30 units Race 9 - Indiana Derby G2 #1 Star Dabbler - Hushion runner should stretchout in first two turn race. #9 Bright One - Talented Chestnut is coming off a 2 month layoff, but should be ready for Romans. #11 Mantoloking - Improving colt should relish the distance. Bravo and Breen win at a 34% clip. #12 Lewis Michael - Should hang on for a piece. #2 Dr. Pleasure - Regally bred, but just one victory to his credit. The Play - 1 unit Tri Key and Tri P/W 1 over 2 9 11 12 units and 2 9 11 12 with 1 with 2 9 11 12 = 24 units I'm headed to Hoosier Park for the Indiana Derby. Enjoy the Columbus Day weekend. Just wondering, even thought English Channel is 1A he will still be 1 for the NTRA Pik 4 right??

Good read Bogey. We seem to be on the same page with most of the races, and theres a lot of chalk out there as well. I'm also starting to really like Fredonia in the Turf Classic, but I'm just not sure that she can hang with English Channel. She would offer some value in a very chalky day though...
