Default If Shared Belief..

were to win the Classic, and voted champion 3 year old. wouldnt that be a rare back to back? cant remember it happening in a long time.

But you'd have to go back to Spectacular Bid '78-'79 and then not too far to Affirmed 77-78, Seattle Slew 76-77 and then back to Secretariat '72-'73. So only 4 in 44 years makes it awfully rare

Just looked it up. From 1970-present just 5. Beholder, Silverbulletday, Go for Wand, Open Mind and Ruffian.
