Gene Gene the Dancing Machine
rest in peace Gene, your boogying to Milton Delugg and the band with a Thug was some of the best TV ever. Love their version of Basie's Jumpin at the Woodside. Gene was loved by many. The gong Show was really the original American Idol when you watch American Idol at the beginning.
Seem to remember a big black hoss named Basie.....a mudder if I remember correctly |

the era of real coke......too bad they lost the recipe 30 years ago. used to be a helluva drug. You could come up with real price hosses on that stuff, though you might not remember what you saw to like the hoss wired for sound half drunk.

my favorite was the Unknown Comic...Rip Taylor was always ridiculous silly at the end of the show....$516.32 was the winning check amount? Jamie Farr was always the quickest celeb to hit the gong...
Condolences to Mrs. Gene Gene...........
