SAT - Arlington Park (Million Preview Day R5-R8 PK4)
Arlington Park - Million Preview DayPOST SCRATCHES
R5 - G3 American Derby (Turf 9F) #4 Nun the Less (7-2) - Draws well and I'm expecting Geroux to have him forwardly placed throughout, which is not a bad thing in a race that lacks pace.#1 Crittenden (5-1) - 3 of 4 wins have come on the turf and his last race off a break was solid despite being erratic down the lane. 3RD 2ND #6 World Approval (2-1) - Is battle tested and can adjust to any pace scenario. WON $4.20 #7 Firespike (3-1) - Leparoux will probably sit back early before making a late move. R6 - G3 Arlington Handicap (Turf 9.5F) #10 Quiet Force (10-1) - Decent in return and it seems that Leparoux will have options from widest draw. WON $12.40 #9 Middleburg (7-2) - A model of consistency and must be considered for all slots. 2ND #2 Up With the Birds (4-1) - Should take advantage of the better draw in 2nd start of the year after a difficult trip in the Dixie on Preakness day. 4th in last year's Million. 3RD R7 - G3 Modesty Handicap (Turf 9.5F) #6 Lots o'Lex (15-1) - Yes the distance is a question, but she'll be in the first flight and came home well in latest after chasing a slow pace. Rosie has done well with this hot barn. #5 Mango Diva (GB) (6-1) - I'll forgive her U.S. debut after a horrible trip. Matz seems fit to ship and lures top local jock (Geroux). 2ND #7 Overheard (5-1) - She comes in fresh and she flat out brings it everytime. Just once off the board in 16 starts for the two time graded stakes winner. #8 Gaga A (Uru) (9-2) - Firm might be the key to her success. The distance won't be the problem, but you have to wonder who she beat in Cali. Drysdale looking for a Beverly D runner. 3RD #10 Riposte (GB) (3-1) - Wide draw hurts and she just seems like she was better last year. Tough call to leave off ticket for a classy mare. 4TH R8 - G3 Stars and Stripes (Turf 12F) #1 Calvados (Arg) (12-1) - Lezcano would love to see The Pizza Man, Roman Approval, and Xtra Luck battle somewhat on the front end while he saves all the ground and swoops by them late. 3RD #2 The Pizza Man (2-1) - Defending champ should land here and didn't miss a beat in comebacker at CD. WON $3.80 #5 Xtra Luck (5-1) - Is in career form and should take it to them early and try to hold on again. 4TH #6 For Greater Glory (6-1) - Solid effort in G3 Lu'ville and seems to uncork a late rally most of the time. PK4 - 1 4 5 6 7 / 2 9 10 / 5 6 7 8 10 / 1 2 = $75 for $.50 Good Racing Luck
