Terrific job by Lou Raffetto to quickly organize the first of 3 race days at Suffolk.. Vans coordinated to/from racetracks for the ship-in days and a nice 13 race card arranged on the fly to start things off: http://www.equibase.com/static/entry...tml?SAP=viewe1

Rise Jim , for whom the stakes is named , was the best Mass bred ever. William H Grinold owned him. He won a ton of races over every surface. I seem to remember him dueling Honest Moment one day at Belmont or Saratoga. This was quite impressive as Honest Moment wAs the fastest hoss to the first turn that ever was. Anyone have his PP's ?
