Default ROI results 10/30 10/31 @ Keenland

A great Breeders Cup day ended our year at the Call To Post. Once again Don Guido won the
Gallivan Cup so congrats to him on his 4th Gallivan win. Five players made some virtual cash
over the two day event and 9 winning wagers were recorded. The Don captures 4th place with
a trifecta win on Friday to keep him in the black. Third goes to yours truly who superfectured
on Friday and exacta keyed on Saturday. Second place belonged to Cruzan when he picked
Tepin to win on Saturday and it brought him home $295. Winning the Breeders Cup big was
Plenilune who tabbed Wavell Avenue in Saturdays 5th and waved bye bye to the field.
In past years I have followed the rules as written. This year a few players lost their wagers
when not putting down a program number and our rules call for making a wager as if you were
at a race track tellers window. Starting next year the powers that be including myself will
enforce the rules but have a little more common sense leeway since this is and has always
been a fun contest. Unfortunately in the last week of the year the rules can't be changed
when others have been penalized earlier. Indian Hemp hit a big one on Saturday but failed
to list a program number so his wager could not be recorded. Sorry IH and to whoever was
affected by the rules as written.Common sense will prevail next year but nobody has ever
accused me of having any common sense <grin>. Thanks for playing this year. We do have
a hardcore group of regulars and I hope most of you return in two weeks for another go. Year end
and lifetime stats will follow.

Congrats to Plenilune, very well done and to our ROI editor in chief for another good read and results presentation. To follow up on RQ's notes about needing to DQ Indian Hemp, to be fair to all others, we could not accept IH's wagers since they did not follow the rules up to now. We've been a stickler with this before but we won't anymore.

Starting next year's handicapping marathon, we will allow wagers with either horse names or horse numbers or both. We prefer horse numbers but the rules will be changed as noted above going forward.

Sorry, IH and I hope you understand. Exceptional wagering BTW!!!
