Venue 09.17.2016 Woodbine
Let's go north of the border this Saturday to Woodbine. Yeah, showers are likely but it's all weather track. The only concern is for the turf races. Four stakes races on turf, let's hope the grass holds up as there are so many nice horses running in these races:
Tepin, The Pizza Man, Wake Forest, Big Blue Kitten, Dacita, and many more (not all in the same race, of course!). It's odd, big names going in the 300K stakes rather than taking on Tepin in the 1mil stakes race. I can't wait to see her run! Future Entries Saturday, September 17, 2016 Woodbine Rain Showers Likely Precip: 70% High: 78°F | Low: 66°F Although this link is not one of the Woodbine Mile, it's the Canadian International, my second favorite race from Secretariat. His last one. The way he ran, wow, when he comes into the stretch for the run at the wire and the steam blowing from his nostrils like a fire breathing dragon...gives me chills. I have to say my favorite Secretariat race was his Preakness, the way he moved in that first turn gives me goosebumps...yeah, even more than his Belmont which was jaw-dropping to say the least. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e01dC6UWXx8 LOL, sorry, just got a little nostalgic. |

You may get nostalgic any time you feel like it . . .!!!! THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! Patty will need a box of tissues when I show this to her in an hour or so and I will stand behind her so she doesn't see me using almost as many as she does.
Thank you again Jane!!! And oh yeh, good selection BTW.
