Default GO DEPUTY on short rest

He's never come back off of 2 weeks rest, but did run huge last time into a slow pace.

Any thoughts?

he ran real huge in that race, I question what the deal is, makes sense because they obviously don't want to go to Japan. This move is out of Pletchers element, and running so huge, has to be a negative. Will be juicy odds though, I guess somewhat playable in the win pool and underneath in exactas

He sure did hang in that race.. Collier Hill looked hopelessly beaten and Go Deputy hung like a cheap suit.

I think it depends on what GD's odds are. If he's anything lower than 6/1, to me, he's not worth a play, but if he starts getting up in the 10/1 range, he could be worth using. Either way, Hurricane Run is the one they all have to beat, although he doesn't seem unbeatable.

Go Deputy is a 14-1 future bet at TheGreek (Olympic). You lose if he doesn't start, though.

Would have had a great chance to hit the board in this race however not to sure that a 13 day rest is long enough. Its not like he was pulled back after the first mile. The horse ran a hard 2nd, would have been better off to rest him and let him run the BC. Forgot tho 1 mil for a win does make people do stupid things

Go Deputy is incredibly consistent but the connections seem to be taking advantage of his big heart here coming in with just 2 weeks off.

at 6 years old he's had 18 lifetime starts. this has got to be his biggest year and he's racing quite a bit this year. anyone know why he had few races prior to this year ?
