Default Pegasus World Cup Invitational - A Thought

So we have a new major race, that I would expect to continue on year after year. I would like to propose, because of it's significance, that we hold this in as high esteem as the triple crown races and the Breeders Cup Races. That said, we would double our wagering pocket book to $200 and award double points for the race card points and wagering contest results. This assumes there will be other graded stakes races on the card

Or we could wait and see how this plays out for it's inaugural year and if it proves to be that worthy make this change for next year's Pegasus Cup.

Comments, thoughts and I'm really OK either way.

There sure will be Don.

I think the card will include a total of 7 stakes, all of which will have purses of $100,000 or more. In addition to the Pegasus, there will be the G3 Hurricane Bertie, G3 La Prevoyante, G3 W.L. McKnight, and the ungraded Gulfstream Park Turf Sprint, Ladies Turf Sprint and Poseidon. Should be a strong card.

I'm all for giving your suggestion a try, even though it has the effect of taking the choice away from this week's points winner. I know that was not your intent and have a hunch that the Pegasus card would have been anyone's first choice.

In that case, I think it's very worthy of the same status as the Triple Crown races. I'm sure we'll some top horses, owners, trainers and jocks throughout the day.

Thoughts from others, please! Sorry folks for the misspelling of PEGASUS. And the e's not even close to the a on the keyboard.

Default Pegasus

I cannot imagine any of our players not wanting to play the PEGASUS card

I get what you are saying. However, the same could be said on Travers weekend or any other really important stakes weekend. Some weekends are just kind of automatic due to specific stakes races being run, right? Although, someone like me could be a stinker and say, let's play Del Mar and add the Travers. ROFL

I like the idea of doubling the ROI money and the overall points for the Pegasus though!
