Default Triumphs and Tragedies

I'm not going to talk about money.
That's not what this thread is intended for.
I'd like to talk about the triumphs...Street Sense, Ouija Board, Thor's Echo, and Invasor come to mind. My pick for the best victory was Ouija Board's.
Feel free to add yours.
For tragedies, Pine Island hit me hard. RIP pretty girl.
Fleet Indian looks like she'll recover (thank goodness). I hope she heals up and makes nice foals. Of course, if you know me, I like NY breds, especially running with the best that the world can offer.

Today was a day that I'll remember for the triumphs and the tragedies.
Thankfully, Javier C wasn't hurt when Pine Island went down. I don't think he rode Berni that great (moved him at the 3/8 pole ala Kent D riding style), but I'm thrilled for Kieran.
Today made memories for me.
Please share yours.

Now thats all is said and done, I don't feel well about today. I could have lost all my money and still felt better than seeing that breakdown. I just wish this wouldn't have happend on such a great day like the BC.

What really struck me hardest was the biggest tragedy we saw this year, Prado, Matz and Barbaro be later reversed 5 months later while Prado looked onto the scene of Castellano and Pine Island. Fate twists in so many ways. I'll miss Pine Island, she was very beautiful in her own special way.

The greatest moment for me was Invasor winning. I dreamed of Bernardini leaving us all in awe, but the underappreciated horse will hopefully now be thought of as "the best" by more people than Kenny Mayne. I greatly admire Kiaran McLaughlin for all he has overcome. (and I really hope he will be back next year with Jazil Superstar! )
