Default I was happy to see

Matz/Prado win with Round Pond. One good thing came out of that race.

It's sad because this is my first breeders cup I make $$ on.
Spent 130 on my tickets with my main bet being 50$ WP on RoundPond, rest of the 30$ went on exotics.

I feel bad for winning with such tragedy in the race. I get home from collecting, and my dad (who knew what I wa betting) says, "what a way to win, 2 favorites break down."

He made me feel like **** about it. I know it sucks but there was still 11 other horses in the race. It's funny though, when I give my parents 250$ dollars of my winnings, they don't refuse it.... Jeeeez money can be so evil.

RIP PI

Yes. I started a thread titled "YUMMY, YUMMY" to state how good my crow was.

I was actually impressed with Brother Derek. I think he ran a very nice race. No I do not think the little bump was anything, but honestly I didn't think he be in the top 10.

Thunder Gulch won our contest. what title do we give him?

Mark...I feel bad too, but I had RP wps and the exacta today...but even if the 2 faves don't break down...they were not gonna get to Round Pound...not today...

I hate to see those two break down though

GPK, I am happy you said that. I did not want to start a debate about it with the tragedy. But your right, no way anybody touches her.

I have been a big Porter fan for 2 years now. I read his posts every day, we all knew she had foot problems, and problems tying up her last outing. These problems were taken care of. At those odds I made her my only play today.

GPK, keep an eye on a Porter 2 year old called: Hard Spun. Broke his maidden at Delaware first out. This guy will make some serious noise next year.

Thanks....been a huge fan of RP since well into last year. I knew she had been having foot problems and figured from her last work she was going in the right direction. No way in hell was I not gonna play her at those odds today. I only wish I had wore my ROUND POUND hat from horse hats today...but she still saved my day anyway.

Just wondering if you guys knew how Matz ended up with Round Pond. Last I had checked, the champion was with John Servis?

I was happy to see Cal Borel get a BC win.

Also was happy to see the Chicago connection, Calabrese/Catalano/Douglas get a victory.

Another nice one was Miesques Approval getting a victory for Wolfson and Edddie Castro.

I guess in general I like it when smaller, lesser known, regional connections that have paid their dues can get a slice of the big pie.
