Really interested to see how Three Technique runs. He should be able to sit off the pace a bit and pounce down the stretch.
I’m not completely sold on the three horses that are likely to be favored above him. |

Interesting to me that Santana rides Silver Prospector, a horse that Brisnet PPs picks no better than 4th with his stablemates Shoplifted and Gold Street picked one and two and Three Technique picked third, but Nucky might spoil the party for the pacesetters, if he shows up. Obviously flamed out in his last 2 outings, but maybe we can expect better after being shipped half way across the country? He seems the fastest early and a fast early pace would seem to help Three Technique.
I guess it must be a thing of the past, but I think that mile races at Oaklawn ended at the 1/16th pole and not the regular finish line. I haven't been out there much in recent years so it could have changed. Ending at the 1/16th pole gives a whole lot less stretch and I guess logically favored the pacesetter types.
