Default venue for 5/22

OK, here is my proposal for a venue or venues for 5/22. My suggestion is that we go with Races 4 thru 12(9 races) at Gulf and throw in Race 5 from Santa Anita which is the Grade 2 Buena Vista, a Turf Route at 1 mile for fillies and mares. This will be 5 turf races and 5 dirt races, a Grade 3 Sprint Stakes and another non-graded Sprint Stakes and the Grade 2 Stakes Route. The Santa Anita race goes off just before the last race at Gulf. Also, I think there are only 2 maiden races in this proposed sequence.

Sorry, but that's the best I could come up with on this "Slim Pickens" weekend. Hope everyone will find this acceptable.

You are welcome ma'am and for you and others that may not know where to access free Brisnet past performances here is a link http://www.horse-races.net/library/l...rformances.htm I like these better than DRF past performances, but I'm sure that others might not. To each his own.

Don't envy you the task you had, trying to find a contest card where there wasn't much available.

If anyone wants to get a bit of a warmup for Gulfstream, I'd recommend trying to Beat The Expert on Friday's card. It's a fun exercise every Friday; I think that Ron Nicoletti is this week's expert. Here's a link:

Sounds good Cal. Not much of choice anywhere. I'll put the Points and ROI threads up tomorrow.

Might be fun to make an imaginary play in the 200K P5 today also. Here are my picks:

R6 1,5,6,7
R7 3,4,8,9
R8 2,4,5,9
R9 5,6,7,8
R10 2,4,5,9

Only $512 for 50 cents Obviously, I would have to narrow it down in a couple of races.

Here is a more reasonable version:

R6 1,6,7
R7 3,4,8
R8 4,9
R9 5,7,8
R10 2,9

$54

My usual limit in these horizontal affairs is maybe 3 races(or less) right.

Cal, your big ticket was a hit. Paid $2,768 for a $.50 ticket. Great job of handicapping. Hope that you saved some for our ROI contest on Saturday.

If only I was Warren Buffet, I could have had the winners. Course, if I was, I probably wouldn't care whether I won horse races or not.
